Blackberry blackouts

August 23rd, 2009 (12:56 pm)

Few weeks ago I helped my friend by watching his 6 year old daughter for a day. I took her to the park, where we found a little creek with a fallen tree that we used as a bridge to cross over to unexplored territory.  Anyways, after she insisted  to cross it back this time all by herself, she fell into the creek . It was not a big deal since the creek is about knee length,  she just got little wet.  But somehow she thought since she got wet, it would be funny to throw my purse in, and get it wet as well. Hm, not so funny. After I told her that was not ok to do, and that we are going home, she started to blame me for it. First she said that it was my fault because  I made her do it, then  that I was distracting her, which I was not,  later she even said that it was because I pushed her, she obviously never heard of the story of a boy that cried wolf, lol. She has the most amazing way of externalizing all the responsibility!

Oh, later on that  very same day, she did another amazing thing. Her dad gave her a yogurt to eat that he let her chose from the store. She is supposed to eat one a day. So after he disappeared to do something, she slipped it into the kitchen garbage can. But that is not all. She brought the little garbage can from her room, and emptied it on top of the yogurt to cover it further, with the story how she is helping clean up to make her dad happy, since she got into trouble for breaking my phone, and lying. I discovered it when I tried to bury my chewing gum, and she admitted to it only after 3 lying attempts. She is really good at being bad!!!

Anyhow, I drained my purse, and I was able to dry out and save my wallet, and all the stuff inside. All but my poor blackberry, it  was soaked.  It was dead for a whole day and night, but the next morning, it showed the sign of life, which made me very happy.  But my happiness was short lived. I discovered that every time I actually use the phone, I get some loud static noise, and then it dies in the middle of the conversation. Luckily I do not use my phone much. I feel like phones  should be used to make  plans to talk in person, not replace the human contact. So this has not be as irritating  as it would be to most people, but still my phone became completely unreliable.    I know that I miss out on lots of phone calls during my blackberry blackouts, and I hope I do not piss anyone off since those missed calls do not even show on my list, so I do not even know who I should call back.   I borrowed my friend's old cell phone which only comes with car charger which I keep forgetting to charge, so I am still in between the phones, and need a permanent solution.

I was going to treat myself with the iphone once I pay off my debt, but now I think that I can not wait that long.  I am thinking of cheating, and changing the deal - if I get the  job that I applied for this week, I get the phone. Yes, there still must be a goal!  I like it when I set goals, and have to work for the things I want to spoil myself with.  It feels more fulfilling that way then just buying things. That is just too easy, and does not as fun as my little games I play.  It is a good thing that I am not a mom, my children would hate me, I would so make them work for things, lol.  Anyways, even my new deal is little flawed, I need to have a working phone to be able to get a call back about the job.  I guess for now my solution is that I just need to drive more, and keep the phone charged that way, he, he.

Popsicle Day

July 26th, 2009 (05:15 pm)

It is a very hot day today. I am enjoying not having my brother in law at home right now by hanging out in my panties all day, he, he! My sister and I are the worse when it comes to that. Every day we have spontaneous "Lets take our clothes and suntan in our undies "days. Poor neighbours!

Anyways, I have been playing tennis lots with the guy I thought had ditched me. There was an explanation after all, it was a simple communication problem. I wrote him on Thursday night saying I can meet tomorrow at 6pm, and he read it on Friday day, so he thought we are meeting on Saturday. Ever since then, we have been playing almost every other day. Oh, I do not really mean play, it is more like a practice. He ended up becoming my private tennis teacher. I am improving- I am getting good at serving, better at backhand, and my forehand still needs lots of training. I use too much of my wrist instead of the arm, it hurts. I am getting a good workout from tennis, my glutes are on fire, he, he. Poor guy, he is getting a pure cardio workout. All he is doing is running to collect balls that I throw all over the court and even the surrounding areas, lol! I am lying now, it is not that bad anymore, we can hit now about 10-15 times over the net in the row before I do something like that. We get along pretty well, so it has been working out really well.

Desperation

July 9th, 2009 (07:55 pm)

I am still trying to find new friends or at least acquaintances to do some things with. No, not the naughty things, not that desperate, lol ;) But still desperate enough that I responded to someone's Craig list add in which they were looking for the tennis partner. Yeah, I know, that is desperate, lol. I was so excited because this person clearly wants to just play tennis, so second agendas. He does not know anything about me, so everything was perfect-straight to business, playing tennis that is, you perverts. So we made plans to meet at the tennis court tonight at 6pm, and I show up in my pink and white outfit which matched my tennis racquet of course. Also I want it to be known that I was there ON TIME! And he does not even show up! I was bummed out. He probably saw me coming looking all girlie, and ran in the opposite direction, lol.

Tulip Festival

May 12th, 2009 (06:49 pm)

I miss having friends in my life. I had variety of friends in both cities I lived, Belgrade, and Salt Lake City , and it was always fun. I still somewhat keep in touch with lots, but I miss spending quality time with them. I was somewhat sucessful in organizing fun adventures, and activities for us to do. Lately I have been thinking about it a lot. Somehow, I did not make many friends in Seattle. I do have my family here, so I hang out with my them every Sunday. They are always busy trying to keep up with baby, so there are limited things we do together. We usualy play with the baby, eat dinner, gossip, and watch the Sunday TV shows- Desparate Housewives, and Brothers and Sisters. I do have my ex boyfriend Eugene, and his 5 year old daughter Isabella, so few times a month I go over to their house, and we act silly, and play. I am so glad we were able to stay friends after the breakup. I do not like when people end the relationship and are mean to each other, and stuff. So anyhow since I am on that subject, my relationship with my fiancee has been downgraded to a friendship level. Since we are no longer compromising, our times together are now spent doing only few things that we have in common -wathcing netflix movies, and our TV shows- Heroes, Supernatural, Lie to Me, and sometimes House. I also made few friends at Nordstrom's, my former coworkers-Emily Ball, and Malinda Allen. We continued doing what we did while I was employed there on a daily basis- we took what I called executive lunches, longer then allowed bitching sesssions during which we complained and gossiped about work, and our lives. I have been so busy with work stuff lately, I really need to find time to see them soon. As you can see, there are lots of the stuff that I still love doing that I are not covered . I have been doing some of the stuff, like going to parks, hikes, museums by myself. It has been good, but still it would be even more fun if I had a friend there with me from time to time. Since I cannot get my old friends back here, I decided to be proactive about making new ones. So I have been writing to people with similar interests on Meet Up site. So far I was able to meet one person. We went to the tulip festival, and it was fun.

Once a Month list

April 14th, 2009 (05:51 pm)

I am so silly. I have variety of lists, some to keep me organized and some are simple observations I made. They vary from common lists like errands to do, and things to buy to more complex ones like a list of the things I am afraid of, to qualities I want in a partner, to name a few. Some of you might remember my blog I wrote few years ago when my friends from work had found my "What I am afraid of List", they were laughing so hard since some of the items were: having a boyfriend, going up/down the open stairway ...
http://anamarija.livejournal.com/55152.html
Anyways, one of these lists is a "Once a Month" reminder. Yesterday I realized that the Personal Care section can be interpreted so wrongly-like I am the dirties person in a world!!! It was so funny! I would have died of embarrassment if someone had found this! It surely looks like I only clean, and groom myself once a month, and even worse that I need a reminder to do so, he, he..

Recruitment

April 9th, 2009 (05:35 pm)

Are any of you, my Salt Lake City friends, planning to move to Seattle? I know few of you did, but somehow never made it here yet. So, if you still are, what can I do to help you move your ass over here?
I especially recommend Seattle to a nature loving people. It is so beautiful here. Lots and lots of parks everywhere, many of them on numerous lakes that exist in the area. And they are real lakes - they do not stink like death, lol! You can relax, and enjoy kayaking, canoeing, boating, sailing, or you can simply enjoy laying on the sand with a book. Find and photograph pretty LightHouses. There are tons of little islands to visit and wildlife to observe, even whale watching! There are lots of mountains to explore too- Mt. Rainier, St. Helens (Volcano), Cascade mountains, lots of pretty wildflowers to steal! Lots of dining options, especially if you enjoy sea food, different wineries to visit and get drunk, art galleries, museums, coffee shops, even visit a few different chocolate factories!
Pretty much everything is here, except for you, my friends. So lets fix that, he, he! I would like to go on some of the adventures with you, explore the city, and the state. I am still just learning about the area, so it would be fun to share these experiences. If you have been thinking about it, just do it.
"The other day" (disclaimer about what "other day" can mean was posted before) I was in a park, and saw a man flying a kite. It brought memories of Matthew Johnson's and my sad attempt to fly the pirate ship kite, and it made me smile. Ah, those were fun times. Even all the bruises I gained next day from winning the Rolling Down a Hill race were so worth it,he, he. I could not help it but think how much fun would be to have some of my friends living in the area. Matthew Johnson, you are so going to get a phone call soon. I have been thinking about you. You were the one that always wanted to move here. So expect the phone call soon. I know your birthday is coming up, so you WILL hear from me!
Anyways, who wants to move to Seattle area?

Going with the Cloud

February 10th, 2009 (11:08 pm)

Snow was fast to melt yesterday, so I went to the lake to watch the sunset. It was very pretty.

It is a pitty that there are no benches to sit down, but maybe it is a good thing too. I would be there with my blankie every evening. Do not worry, it is not the baby blankie, just a warm cozy one, he, he. I managed to get home in time to avoid what followed next- a strong hailing storm that looked like it could hurt you, lol. Since I am such a nice person ;) I offered Roman a ride home. It was so crazy out there- hail turned into a snow, and then there was a single very loud thunder lightening. When I got on 405 freeway, I noticed that that area was not hit by the storm at all, the road was completely dry. By the time I got to exit the 520 bridge, I got hit with the same storm- strong hail that turned into a snow. I realized that I was

Going with the Cloud

and laughed about it since it sounds like going with the crowd expression.
Oh, I forgot to tell you. Few weeks ago, I woke up suddenly at 5:30 am in panic. It woke Roman up, and he asked me what was wrong. I told him that it was an earthquake, and he was like: yeah, right, you are crazy, go to bed. Off course, I cannot just leave it at that, so next day I did some research and found out that indeed there was an earthquake. It was a very faint one- 4.5, but still. What can I say, I am always right, lol. You bet you (Sarah Palin) that I texted him with that info, lol.. Anyways, I really need a job, since all my blogs are about the weather, and I am not a meteorologist.

Welcome to Winter Wonder Land

February 9th, 2009 (03:47 pm)

Welcome to Winter Wonder Land

I woke up at 6am to discover that it snowed again! I did not expect that at all. During my 5 short hours of sleep the weather changed completely. It is all about to be melted soon, since we have a pretty warm day outside. It has been crazy here in Seattle area with all the snow. There was a week in December when we got 4-5 inches of snow! I liked it. We have a lots of trees around our condo, and a Totem Lake in the back, so it was very pretty.
Pathway to Totem Lake

It is kind of cool that as soon as it snows a bit here, everybody is acting like the end of the world is coming. People stock up on supplies, call out, and stay home! It is due to the fact that the city does not use the ice melt/sand/salt because of its environmental impact, nor does have much of the plowing equipment. So each time it snows, the whole city is in panic, and chaos. Garbage pick ups were canceled, so it got very messy, and dirty everywhere. I joined in on a community activity to unstuck the UPS truck, and clear our street. It was fun to meet our neighbors. It was an interesting though that only "foreigners" participated.
Undigging our street
Oh, I have a perfect example of how badly the weather can get. We drove to the restaurant in Lynnwood for my sister's birthday. It was cold, but dry evening. In an hour, when we came out, there was already few inches of snow, and it was still snowing like crazy. We did not even make it to her home afterwards. My car got stuck going up the hill on the 164th. And we were not the only ones. There were so many vehicles stuck on that road, people were out pushing cars to the side, it was insane. Roman had to push me too, we barely were able to make it to the gas station, where we abandoned my car. We had to call Tim to rescue us, and we ended up sleeping over there. Next morning everything was melted, and gone. Crazy weather! After that time, the city officials finally ok-ed the use of the ice melt, and other chemicals ;( Oh, I think I will miss the panic, and hype, it's exciting to me. Anyways, this winter has been great for me. I finished with my temp job just in time to avoid all the traffic problems due to snow. I went on a few short walks, enjoyed pretty Winter Wonderland landscapes. Oh, I had fun too. Roman and I made a 6 feet tall two faced SnowMan. I loved him. He was a hit in the neighborhood. He did not live very long, but he made me so happy while he was there. I kept peeking out the window every 5 min to check on him. Seeing him stand there like a solder, almost like a winter scarecrow filled me with such warmth, and hapiness. I will always remember his face.
CreepyTwo-faced SnowManHe died!
During that time we got addicted to a few TV shows too. We managed to watch all 3 (actually 2.5) seasons of Heroes in 3 days. It was pretty cool, we were zombified by the TV, staying up untill daylight each time. I love that. I call that movie marathon 'Till Exhaustion! And Roman loves it when I say it. Then we spent few days watching the Jericho series, which was a really good show. Especially the main actor Skeet Ulrich if you know what I mean ;) he, he.. Then it was the whole Invasion series, followed by the Fringe series. Main actress bugs in that one. I cannot pinpoint why, it is almost like she only has one facial expression, Le Tigre, Blue Steel...he, heeee, but instead of a silly sultry pout, hers is a constapated/pissed off look. I do not know, something is seriously off with her, but the story line is ok, and we were desparate, lol. Then we started the Supernatural, which is almost lame, so I refused to do it Till Exhaustion. The "pretty boy" in the movie needs to invest in some serious acting lessons, it is painful for me to watch it. I cannot even imagine how it is for straight guys. Roman does not agree with me about his acting skills, I have no idea how is that possible. But anyways, since it includes ghosts and stuff, we still are watching episode here and there on that one. As you can see, I am ready for spring.

Sarah Brightman Symphony Tour

December 15th, 2008 (04:31 pm)

After the Harem tour I had said that next time I was going to get the front row tickets, but I decided against it. We decided that it is better to share this amazing experience with others, so we got the tickets for both of our families as an early Christmas gifts. Of course it was a surprise gift, and to make the story shorter my sister bought hers too, so we ended up wasting one $75 ticket due to the no refund policy. It was very sad. Next time, for sure, it will be just the two of us in better seats.

We started the evening by having my future in laws over for a home made dinner. Roman and I put lots of effort to make it special. We had a 3 course meal plus desert - all made from scratch. It was lots of work, and I am not sure that I can say that our minestrone soup was worth $35 that we spent on veggies, lol! Canned soup could have done the job just as well. The Piroskis with apples and cranberries were pretty yummy though! After we presented them with the surprise tickets, we left for the concert. I am sure they were relieved, because his mom thought that we were going to announce that we are pregnant since we kept everything such a mystery!

For some reason the concert was held in Everett, which is a city north from Seattle. We had gotten some snow over night, and streets were icy, so it took us awhile to get there. Parking was a nightmare. We got stuck in snow twice while circling to find a parking garage. Our seats were pretty decent - we got 29th row floor seats in the middle, but since they were not cascading rows like in movie theaters, it gets lame when you get someone tall in front of you. At least we were able to have a closer look at Sarah's face. I wasn't happy with the arena, because it did not have that special feel to it. You can see the stupid advertisements around the arena, and the seats were the fold up chairs. I wanted the Capitol theater feel: burgundy velvet seats, balconies, gold columns, and crown moldings. But I am such a spoiled Princess, he, he...

The concert started when the lights went off. Out of the darkness the dark blue lights came on, and the Sanvean instrumental started, which later on turned into the Gothica intro. A single silhouette walked onto the stage covered with layers of black tulle. It was very dark, and spooky looking. Some people thought that it represents Sarah's role in Repo Opera- Blind Mag. I have not seen the movie yet, so I couldn't tell. Two more less important (less tulle :) female silhouettes followed and helped Sarah reveal herself. As she did the lights came on, and Sarah came to life in the red beautiful dress. Contrast of colours was pretty dramatic. It was very fitting, and great way to start her Symphony concert. Actually, I am not good at explaining, so I will just steal other people's videos to show you...

Instead of having a unifying theme, Sarah divided her concert into few different segments. First chapter consisted of Fleurs du Mal, Symphony, and Let It Rain which she sang in the long red dress very similar to the one from her album cover, just with more cleavage. It was a theme from her Symphony album, she had the same gothic backgrounds projected onto the back mirror panel. In Let it Rain she had the virtual rain, which was very cool.

In the next chapter , Sarah transformed the stage into the nature. She was dresses as a cute little fairy- a very short white tutu dress with the long white cape, and white sparkly, what I call "bitch" boots (=boots from pretty woman) he, he... Don't you worry, I have my own pair too, he, he. She put herself in the background, she was alone, no dancers, and as she sang What a Wonderful World, Dust in the Wind, and Nella Fantasia, different nature scenes came to life all around her. I especially liked Dust in the Wind, with all the 3D butterflies, and fireflies all over the stage, and a solo guitar player on stage with her, which you will see now.

What followed next was a spectacular moment! She transformed the stage into aquarium for Hijo de la Luna. Thanks to the mirror effect, she appeared to be floating in the air, swimming in the water, her 8 dancers doing what it reminded me of synchronized swimming in a circle around her. It was amazing! Everyone gasped.

For next collection of songs, Sarah wore this crazy Moulin Rough Can Can dancer Mary Antoinette inspired dress with red corseted vynil thighs underneath. It is a Princess love story theme, except the Princess looked more like a french prostitute;)not that I mind, he, he. She did Anytime Anywhere. For next song-Storia d Amore, Sarah climbed on the top of the Princess on the Bean bed, which consisted of many cool looking mattresses, and sang the bedtime story to her dancers. In next song Canto Della Terra, her "prince"- Mario Frangoulis appeared, and they sang duet. He gave such an amazing, very powerful performance. I had goose bumps all over..

For next song Attessa she was still in the same dress, this time she climbed on the swing. Swing was not cutely made up as the one on Harem Tour. She got lifted high in the air, with her dress tail falling down still to the ground creating dramtic effect. As she sang the red rose petals were falling down all around her. That was her last song before break.

Twenty minutes later, she had on a long green slim dress in which she sang You Take My Breath Away and I Have Been This Way Before. Dancers were dressed in red with huge red balloons that they released at the end of the song. And with added red cape on, she did Phantom of the Opera with Mario, which again was pretty powerful.(My dad did not come to kill her, lol- FAMILY JOKE- My sister and I used to always sing Phantom, and this particular song always guaranted my dad coming up the stairs to shut us up!) As she sang those last notes, I though the whole ceiling will come down crashing, lol..

After that was a trippy part, Alice in Wonderland and Red Riding Hood intro (No idea what Alice in wonderland has to do with Red Riding Hood) followed by a very weird song that I never heard her do before, Red Riding Hood Rap which is basically her version of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies in almost like Kate Bush way... it was really odd, and phycodelic. I am still in confusion about this. Sarah was dressed like Red Riding Hood riding a stationery bike singing a "rap song" on Tchikovky's masterpiece hm, it was definitevely... odd....Watch it! It did have cool bad wolves images with glowing eyes projected on each side of her that were chasing her, and as they got her, she disappeared off the stage.

After that she transformed stage into Christmas theme, and did First of May, and I believe in Father Christmas from her Winter Symphony album, followed with Ave Maria duet with Fernando Lima in a little good girl balerina dress.

I was little disappointed she did not do the Pasion with him, she just had him there for one song.
The last song Time to Say Good Bye she sang in the same outfit with the starry night as the background. When she came back for encore she was all goth out, she had the long black dress on with black wings, black background, no dancers, and she did Deliver me.

Very last song, Running was done again with halographic background. Spotlight was on Sarah, who was in the middle of the Earth. Dancers dressed in white dresses danced arounde her with long red ribbons.

She did wear another green dress, with crincled top and mermaid tail for one song, but I cannot remember which one, nor when. I just remember the dresses, lol. In next life I want to be Sarah Brightman- she has the such girlie outfits, he, he!!! Anyhow, I was happy with the concert. She sang beautifully, and overall gave the great performance. It did feel to me that it wasn;t as coherent. It almost seemed like she could not decide what she wanted to do, so it ended up being bits of everything. Obviously she did the fairy tale theme- Anderson's Princess on the Bean, and the Mermaid, Grimm's Red Riding hood, why she added Alice in Wonderland I have no idea. I thought that maybe she was going to do some music for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland movie, and this is going to be a little preview, but Elfman is doing it like always. I do not know, I was little confused. At least she should have continued the fairy theme, and done the Winter Symphony as a Snow Queen. It just seemed to me that if she wanted the Fairy story theme she should have saved it for the next time and done a superb job with it. For Symphony Tour I did expect to see her in that long red dress, so that was great. I also liked the black dress with wings. I was hoping that she would have more of the classical, elegant, but dark appearance. I was expecting the real choir in all white really long ghostly dresses surronded with fog, and smoke, maybe even hanging down from the celing like real ghosts, and the full orchestra in black, with exegurated long showdows in the background, conductor on steels maybe, and her in the long red, and white dresses with the dark gothic backgrounds from her album. Anybody else has any input???

Election Day

November 4th, 2008 (03:57 pm)

I have been temping at the King County election office  in Washington state. One day I was bored and I kept a winning tab. From 592 ballots that I processed that day, 46 of them were for McCain, 9 for other candidates including the write ins -Hilary Clinton, Bill Gates (that is actually a good idea) and a drawing of two people holding hands (Poor guy, why did he even waste 42 cents for postage) and everything else was for Obama, he, he. Barack Obama is definitevely going to win in the Washington state, but that is not a surprise.

Devil's child

October 3rd, 2008 (05:36 pm)

Read the story about the Australian 7 year old boy who went on a animal killing rampage after breaking in at the Zoo.  He killed 13 animals by feeding them to the crocodile, and what is even more disturbing is that he smashed three lizards to death with a rock before feeding them.  What a little devil's child!  I can not imagine how parents have raised that child for him to think that is ok to do??? I hope he suffers great consequences at home. What would you do if somehow that was your child?

10 Random things (inspired by Richard Alen Joyce)

September 24th, 2008 (01:34 pm)

10. Last night Roman and I went to the shooting range for the first time. I have been wanting to go for a very long time, but never got around. It was so much fun!!! Let's just say that the required gun class that I had in elementary school paid off. Plus it helped that I am a champion in WII Link's Crossbow Training game, lol. I KICKED HIS ASS!!! he, hee...

9. Me with the gun, scary? Do not worry, I also had the first aid class that was required as well, so I am well prepared for all outcomes, he, he.. It is so cool that serbian elementary schools train children for broad variety of possibilities, including war.

8. On Monday it was my nephew- baby Lazar's first birthday. He had his first sugar taste, and he was loving it. He ate the whole piece of cake with his two hands.

7. My other sister Ana is due tomorrow. We were all hoping that upcoming baby Nikola will be born on the same date as Lazar. He is over 9 lbs already, so cooked pretty well in there, but this baby does not want to come out of his mommy's belly! His stubbornness will end tomorrow at 4pm, he will be coming out via C-section.

6. Shhh, do not tell to baby Lazar that for his birthday, we had watched the new Little Mermaid, Ariel's beginning. It is a very girlie cartoon indeed. It completely reminded me of my family, but they beat us with 7 girls though. I do wish though that they showed more of the toddler years of the little mermaid when she she had the chubby little cheeks, it would have been adorable!

5. This family beats King Triton. Mother is 37 year old, father 42, and they have 13 children already, ages 19 years-7 months, plus she is pregnant again!

4. Back to TV! This next cartoon was so fantastic. It is a Japanese anime television series called Scrapped Princess. I loved it! It was so cute, and funny. It had a good story too, Matrix like. I got so addicted, we had to finish it all in one day, lol.. You should check it out, it is aslo available on netflix.

3. And more TV! Oh, and I have to admit this. I now love Dr. House. Ana will laugh about it, she used to try to make me watch this. I found him so annoying then, he is such an asshole, so rude, and mean, but he kind of grows on you, he, he.. The other day they had a whole day marathon, and I could not separate myself from the TV. I had to seriously make up for all the time I did not watch it. Only way for Roman to unglue me from his TV, so he can play his xbox games, was to hook it up on the computer, and move me during commercial, lol.

I really liked this place!Ethno village Stanisici

As you can see I took lots and lots of photos. Unfortuanately my camera battery was already dead, so I had only my sony handycam, so the quality is really poor. I just added my sister's photos too, now you can see the difference between Natasa's photos and mine. Plus she is a person person, and I am more "the stuff" person, lol. So thanks to her, I have new photos!!!

Surprises

June 11th, 2008 (08:38 pm)

Getting surprised is not for me! I am a contol freak I guess, I like to know everything in advance!!!

For my birthday last month, all I wanted to do is gather few friends, and my family together for a dinner either at home, or out. I was quiting my job, and leaving for Belgrade soon after, so I though that would have been nice to hang out with everyone one last time. That somehow ended up being too complicated, ( It was a Mother's day as well, so people did not know for sure what they are doing with their mothers yet, blah, blah, blah), and so draining that I gave up. I ended up telling Ana and Tim to just come over to Roman's like they usually do on Sundays. We have our Sunday tradition- dinner, play wii games, watch sunday shows, and play board games. We always have fun with it, and it sounded like a good way to spend a birthday. That Saturday at work, my coworker Malinda asked me what I was doing on Sunday. I though that she wanted to trade shifts with me, since it was a mother's day, and my mom was not in town. But then I realized that she did not work Sunday either, that is why I chose that day in a first place, everybody that I wanted to see was off work. After some questioning she admited that she wanted to throw a surprise party for me, but Ana never reponded back to her, and now she does not know what to do. So anyhow, Roman was there, so I told her to go talk to him, and see if they can figure something out. I did not want to deal with it at all. I was already too exosted from the whole birthday thing. I mean there are only 2 coworkers, Ana and Tim, Eugene, my bf and I, how hard can it be really? When she came back, she played all dumb, and asked me something which made me feel like they did not figure anything out, that is is again going to be up to me to come up with something. So anyhow, on Sunday I called Malinda to see when she is available, but she never answered, or called me back. Then I called Ana, and told her that most likely things with Malinda will not go through, and they should come as originally planned. She told me that she is packing for the trip, but that they will be there later in the evening. I texted Eugene and told him that get together party is not happening. So at that point, I for sure had given up. I was so irritated by the whole party business. I just wanted to stay home, and have a normal day. Then out of nowhere, Roman told me that he had made reservations for us to go to romantic dinner, just him, and I. Off course I told him that I cannot do that. I told Ana and Tim to come over, I did not want to ditch them, I would feel awful. I was aslo thinking that in a case that Malinda did call me back, I could just invite them to hang out there with us. Regardless, I did not feel like going out anymore. I was in ornery mood at that point. But he kept insisting. I was so stressed out that I was crying. Anyways, I tried calling people again. This time even Ana did not return my calls. After hours of crying and "negotiating", I had no strainght to fight this battle. I had to shut him up somehow, he, he, he is more stubborn that I ever was, lol!!! I knew that he was doing it for me, he just wanted to make me happy, but I did not get it why he could not see that a romantic dinner was not going to do it for me. I was in such a bad mood. I looked like crap. My eyes were red from crying all day, I had no make up that I could put on, I had no cutsie clothes to wear. Few attempts to find something to wear there, made me even more cranky, I only had an ugly outfit that I came in the day before. Woman needs to feel good about herself to be able to have a romantic date. Anyhow, I just wanted to move on from this, get it done and over with. So we showed up there, they walked us to the table, and then I saw Ana, and company, she screamed SURPRISE!! And I do not know why, I just started to cry like crazy!!!!!!! They were all shoked. Even the waither guy said:"I think I am going to come back later", and left us. I do not even know what I felt at that moment, I really have no idea why I cried, but I was not able to stop. I was pouting at Roman, and hitting him. And I was pretty quiet for the rest of the night. So yeah, the surprise worked, but was it worth it all the tears, and being in a bad mood all day? Maybe so.....

......Surprises Part II -coming up soon.
